Ms Junie Yeo


Ms Junie Yeo started her music education at the age of 4 at the Yamaha Music School. Her passion for music and its various form continued to grow when she joined her school Choir after enrolling at Zhangde Primary School. After graduating, Junie was admitted into (CHIJ) Saint Theresa Convent Secondary School where she joined her school military band and picked up her first wind instrument playing the Clarinet. The military band was subsequently changed to a concert band under the baton of Mr David Glosz. Her passion to expand her knowledge and experience in music saw her continue her musical journey when she went to Saint Andrew Junior College. Junie continued playing the Clarinet through her Junior College years before switching her focus back to piano.


Junie pursue her piano education at the University of Southern Queensland and graduated with a Bachelor in Music in 2001. Under the tutelage of her Piano teacher, Mr Rickie Oui, She was awarded the Fellow of Trinity College, London (FTCL) in 2004.

Junie has also participated in various music festival namely the National Piano and Violin Competition and the Yamaha Electone Festival. She participated in the 1997 and 2002 National Piano and Violin Competition and was a top 3 finalist in 2002. She was also the Yamaha Electone Festival Grand Prix Winner in 2007 and represented Singapore at the Asia Electone Festival held in Thailand. In 2008, 2015 and 2016, she was also invited to perform at the Yamaha Electone Festival.

In the spirit of education, Junie continue to seek and gain other form of musical knowledge by learning the drums under Mr Wong Wei Lung. Junie is currently teaching Piano and Electone.
